BUILDING RESILIENCE IN THE SALISH SEA
OPEN TO ALL AGES
Open to all ages, spend the weekend sailing to Jones and Yellow Islands taking a deep and hands-on dive into projects and ways of human interaction that are building resilience in the Salish Sea.
Over the course of the weekend and two pre-voyage Zoom presentations we will learn more about these approaches, participate in a ship-wide discussion of the how we all work and are responsible for the future of the Salish Sea. Leave feeling inspired that the solutions exist to maintain ecosystem resilience in the face of climate change and species decline.
Also, in the hands-on department, experience life on a historic sailboat, help steer, set sail and navigate. Learn about the natural history of the San Juan Islands from birds to wildflowers to whales. Explore Jones and Yellow Island.
This voyage will depart from and return to Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes. All meals are provided, camping gear is not but we can loan a couple of the basics if you need.
The trip is limited to ten people so enroll now to save you space.
